Leadership - 7th and 8th Grade - Annual (Yearlong) Elective
The Leadership program is for dedicated and responsible students who want to be actively involved in student government, school activities, and service to the school community.
To be considered, students must select Leadership as their first-choice elective on Hale’s Elective Choice Form, complete the Leadership Application, and submit a recorded interview response. Teachers will be asked to complete a recommendation for student applicants.
Leadership students cannot have academic grades of D or F on their 10-week report card to be accepted into the program. In addition, Leadership students cannot have a *U* in either work habits or cooperation to be considered for the program. Grade checks will be provided by counselors. Final placement is based on advisors’ approval and schedule availability.
Be sure to attend the informational meeting at lunch in room C203 on Wednesday, MARCH 11th. Please be prompt and bring your lunch.

To apply to be a part of the 2026-2027 Leadership and ASB Program,
ALL of the following must be done:
- Select Leadership as your first-choice elective on Hale’s Elective Choice Form.
- Complete the online LEADERSHIP APPLICATION
- Create a 2-minute Interview Video answering the INTERVIEW QUESTIONS
- Submit the completed video to the LEADERSHIP VIDEO UPLOAD Form
- Be sure video settings are set to 'Anyone can View.'

Parents are asked NOT to assist students in this process, as the student must show responsibility and interest.
