Many students are making measurable progress in improving their reading fluency. The students are individually timed on Monday and again on Friday. The page goes home each Monday and needs to be practiced every night. By Friday, it is assumed they will improve their score by at least 20 words per minute. When a student can read 150 words per minute for 2 weeks in a row, they can progress to a higher level. Some students are realizing this level of improvement. Please encourage your student to practice reading. Their reading fluency success will help their achievement in other classes too. It also positively impacts comprehension as well.
Thank you for your support.
