Background: Should include 3 complete paragraphs to cover the following:

Paragraph 1-Vocab terms: Force, balanced force, unbalanced force, net force, inertia, Newton’s first law, Newton’s second law, friction.

Paragraph 2-List of 7 types of forces with definitions (use hand out I gave you)

Paragraph 3-Explain and give examples of:
a) Static vs. Kinetic friction
b) Sliding, rolling and fluid friction

Study Chapter 12, sections 2,3 on forces. Quiz on Wed, 10/17.

Reading Pages 344-349 (Chapter 12)

If you needed to edit your Density lab it will be due today.

Density Lab is due Thursday, Sept. 20th at the beginning of the period. All students must submit their own published copy of the lab. This means it must be their own work and not a copy of another students lab report or their lab results.

Students who have printing issues must take care of this before the due date of the 20th. I will not provide printing services to students unless they make arrangements in advance.

Please make sure you proof your lab report for spelling, margins, spacing, title page, font style and size. This report should represent your best work.

Write rough draft for density lab.

Typed data table for metric practice lab. Make sure answers are labeled.
